BIO

Ashley Hamilton (b. 1991, Nashville, Tennessee) is a multi-disciplinary artist and curator currently living and working in Lake City, SC. They studied printmaking and installation at Queensland College of Art in Brisbane, Australia and earned a BFA in drawing and painting from the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. They have spent the past decade working as an artist and curator, exhibiting their work nationally and internationally. Recent solo exhibitions include “(SUB)LIMINAL SPACE” at Francis Marion University in Florence, SC.

Ashley is best known for their vibrant + energetic multi-layered paintings, emotive + immersive installations, mindful nature collaborations, and photography work rooted in meditative stillness. Ashley’s practice is both ritualistic and experimental, honoring ancient ancestral wisdom while allowing space for spontaneous spirit-led play. Their work embraces the liminal spaces of the human experience, exploring fragments of memory within a collective consciousness. Through an intuitive, labor intensive process, Ashley’s work harnesses connections between joy + pain, healing + trauma, matter + spirit.
